Jenna Bush Hager Reacts After Today’s Craig Melvin Admits He’s Never Watched Her Show

Jenna Bush Hager's expression of surprise was palpable as her co-host, Craig Melvin, made an unexpected confession during their live broadcast of "Today with Jenna & Friends." The 46-year-old Craig, who had just joined the flagship slot alongside Savannah Guthrie earlier this year, admitted to Jenna, 43, that he had never actually watched her show.

As he looked around the vibrant studio set during the November 3 episode, Craig remarked, "This is a nice set. You know, I've never seen the show." Jenna, who shares three children—Mila, 12, Poppy, 10, and Hal, 6—with husband Henry Hager, was taken aback. "That is so rude!" she exclaimed. "Did you just hear him say he's never watched the show?"

Despite the shocking revelation, Craig insisted that he wasn't intentionally avoiding her portion of the morning show. "No, because I'm usually in transit," he explained. Jenna, however, pointed out the obvious: "But here's the thing about it. It's a full hour."

Considering Jenna's words, Craig, who has been at the morning show since 2018, replied thoughtfully, "I know, I could probably watch some of it."

This wasn't Craig's first time co-hosting Jenna's fourth hour slot, but it was a moment that served as a reminder of their long-standing friendship. Over the years, Jenna has been an active guest on the "Today" show's earlier slots, including the first hour on October 31 when she showcased her impressive Halloween costume as Anna Wintour. Savannah, who matched her vibe by dressing up as Miranda Priestley from "The Devil Wears Prada," shared with E! News that they "were born to play these roles," and Jenna confirmed they "wanted to be in unison."

While the longtime friends had brainstormed their outfits together, they had to break their annual Halloween tradition of trick-or-treating with their kids this year. "We're sad," Jenna expressed in their joint interview. "But I will trick-or-treat and have fun with the kids."
