Jennifer Lopez, exuding self-awareness, humorously shared her quirks with her co-star Bobby Cannavale at the star-studded afterparty of "Unstoppable" during the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6th. In a lighthearted moment captured by The Hollywood Reporter, Lopez, 55, quipped, "I'm a bad picker," drawing laughter from the crowd. As if Cannavale, 54, struggled to grasp the jest, Lopez repeated the quip three more times, ensuring her confession echoed through the night, accompanied by a playful dance move.

The phrase "bad picker" is colloquial slang for someone with a penchant for choosing less-than-ideal romantic partners, leaving fans wondering what specific instances Lopez might have been alluding to.

Meanwhile, Lopez shone brightly as the lead in "Unstoppable," a film produced by her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, under his Artists Equity banner. The film premiered at TIFF amidst much anticipation, with Lopez stealing the spotlight on the Toronto red carpet, solo but radiant in a sleek silver Tamara Ralph gown adorned with velvet bows.

Despite the film's success, Affleck, 52, was conspicuously absent from both the premiere and the subsequent festivities. However, his close friend and Artists Equity co-founder, Matt Damon, graced the event with his presence.

Lopez and Affleck's love story has been a tale of rekindled romance, two decades after their initial engagement was called off in the 2000s. They reengaged in April 2022 and eloped in Las Vegas three months later, surrounded only by their blended family of children. Lopez shares twins Max and Emme, now 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck has Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Their fairytale wedding in August 2022 at the director's estate in Georgia seemed like a perfect conclusion to their journey, but Lopez filed for divorce exactly two years later, shocking fans worldwide. An insider revealed to Us Weekly that the timing of the divorce felt like a "big f–k you" to Affleck.

On August 20th, Lopez, without the aid of legal counsel, submitted her divorce papers, noting that they had been separated since April 26th. Breaking her silence over the weekend, she shared a series of Instagram posts, captioned with profound messages like "Oh, it was a summer," showcasing moments of self-reflection, family bonding, and a serene mindset.

Affleck, on the other hand, has remained tight-lipped about their separation, with Us previously confirming that he had moved out of their shared Los Angeles home in May.

"Unstoppable," set for release later this year, marks Lopez and Affleck's first collaboration since their iconic, albeit critically panned, films "Gigli" and "Jersey Girl." Reflecting on the experience, Affleck had previously expressed his joy at working alongside Lopez, whom he considers both his wife and best friend. "If you don't like who you're working with, it can be a source of immense stress and unhappiness," he mused during a CBS Sunday Morning interview in March 2023. "But with her, it's pure joy."
