Jennifer Lopez knows exactly where she came from, and she has zero interest in retracing those steps. While reminiscing about her past relationships, the "Jenny From the Block" singer disclosed that she generally doesn't keep tabs on her former flames. "Once I'm done, you're dead to me," Jennifer quipped with a chuckle on The Howard Stern Show on October 15, as reported by People. "I'm gonna get myself in trouble!"
Acknowledging that this was her inaugural interview with the notorious shock jock, the 56-year-old added to Howard Stern, "This is precisely why I never wanted to come on here. I'm bound to land in hot water."
But that didn't deter Jennifer from being refreshingly candid about her romantic history, which includes ex-husbands Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony—with whom she shares 17-year-old twins Emme and Max—and Ben Affleck, as well as her ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez. "I don't cling to the past, to be honest," she explained. "Not exactly 'dead to me,' but certainly, when it's over, it's over, and I'm moving on."
When it comes to her love life in the present, the Grammy nominee is well aware of the challenges of dating someone as famous as herself and "being under that unrelenting microscope." "I live my life very openly," she said, "even though I'm constantly in the public eye. And I yearn to share my life with someone. I crave having someone by my side to witness my significant moments on the red carpet."
And though she and Ben parted ways in 2024, the pair made a striking reappearance together on the red carpet at the October 6 New York City screening of her new film, Kiss of the Spider Woman—a project produced by the Oscar winner herself. Ben had nothing but glowing praise for his ex-wife. "Jennifer is absolutely incredible in this movie," he gushed to E! News. "She's fabulous. And it's an enormously demanding role—it's not edited in a way that allows for any minor missteps in the dance sequences. It requires singing, dancing, acting, and maintaining a delicate balance of tones throughout the film. That's probably the highest level of difficulty for any performer."
The 53-year-old continued, "She pulls it off with such grace and poise, and she's simply wonderful. I adore her performance in the movie. She's amazing, spectacular, and I'm thrilled to have been a part of it."
As for Jennifer, she was equally effusive in her praise for her ex, telling Craig Melvin on the October 6 episode of Today, "If it weren't for Ben, this movie wouldn't have been made. And I will always give him credit for that."
