Jennifer Lopez has sent waves across the internet with her latest track, "Wreckage of You," which she premiered at an intimate listening party in Los Angeles. On July 2, Wednesday, the 55-year-old songstress enthralled a fortunate gathering of 30 fans by unveiling details about her new song.

According to PEOPLE, Edgardo Luis Rivera, one of the attending fans, shared with US Weekly, "'Wreckage of You' is a heartfelt pop ballad that she co-wrote and recorded just two weeks prior to the event. She revealed that the song's concept dawned on her while lying in bed after a grueling day. Lopez mentioned how the previous year had been incredibly challenging for her, both personally and professionally, prompting her to cancel her tour and focus solely on herself. Flash forward a year, and she now feels stronger and better than ever, prompting her to pen a track about emerging from adversity with unyielding strength."

This disclosure follows Lopez's candid sharing of her emotional state after her separation from ex-husband Ben Affleck. In an exclusive interview with Nikki Glaser for the magazine, Lopez reflected, "I contemplated this phase of my life and thought, 'This isn't what I envisioned.' But then I realized, 'No, this is precisely where I needed to be to guide me towards my desired path.' That doesn't imply it didn't almost devastate me completely. It very nearly did."

The former couple, affectionately known as "Bennifer," parted ways in January 2025 after two years of marriage. For those unaware, during the LA event, the "Dance Again" artist also serenaded the audience with several other tracks, including "Up All Night," "Regular," "Free," "Save Me Tonight," and "Birthday."
