Mel B's past remarks about Jessie J appear to have set off a chain reaction. The "Price Tag" singer recently revisited a comment made by the Spice Girls star several years ago, a topic that still seems to be quite sensitive. "I've never collaborated with this individual, but I just want to address it now because I feel comfortable doing so," Jessie shared during the September 10th episode of KISS FM’s *Say It Or Shot It*. "On TV, Mel B just called me a d--khead out of the blue."
After host Harriet Rose reminded Jessie that Mel, 50, had actually used the term "overrated," Jessie stood firm on her recollection. "That was one instance," the 37-year-old singer continued, "but then there was another interview where someone asked her, 'Who are three people you consider d--kheads?' And she named me, Geri Halliwell, and James Corden."
As for the root of Mel's sentiments, Jessie (whose real name is Jessica Cornish) could only recall one brief encounter between the two. "I was like, 'I literally met her once at the Olympics,'" she explained. "I was so starstruck that I didn't even say a word. I was like, 'Where did this come from?' So, I just wanted to bring it up and hopefully find some closure."
Mel originally mentioned Jessie during a 2022 appearance on a talk show, where she was asked to identify the "biggest d--khead she'd ever met." "There are a few," she said on *The Big Narstie Show* at the time, according to *Billboard*. "James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J, and me."
While she didn't elaborate on her feelings toward Jessie, Mel offered a cryptic explanation regarding her feelings toward the *Late Late Show* alum. "I think you should always be kind to the people you work with, whether it's production, camera crew, sound technicians, or lighting staff," she reasoned. "We're all working toward the same goal, so you should always be nice—and he hasn't been very nice."
As for her fellow Spice Girls member, Mel provided a more lighthearted explanation, noting that while she deeply cared for Geri, she felt her bandmate could be "really f--king annoying."
