Recently, Jesy Nelson, a 34-year-old English singer, revealed her desire to leave Little Mix, the award-winning girl group she had been a part of for just two years. After winning The X Factor in 2011, Nelson joined the group alongside Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Perrie Edwards.
In a recent episode of the Great Company with Jamie Laing podcast, Nelson, who ultimately departed Little Mix in 2020, shared that she had actually wanted to leave the band seven years prior to her official announcement. She recalled, "That [leaving] was something that came up much earlier than when I finally made the decision. There was a moment where I thought, 'I want to leave,' and I remember sitting down with my family... It was actually because of my brother that I ultimately decided to stay."

The "Sweet Melody" crooner continued, "The first time I wanted to leave, I remember going home and weighing the [pros and cons]... And at that point, we hadn't even reached our peak yet." She added, "We were still big. Everyone still knew who Little Mix were. So it was like, 'If you leave now, what are you going to do?'"
Jamie Laing also commended her for showing courage, as she parted just a year before the group was to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
