Jim Parsons, Deborah Cox & Frankie Grande Board Broadway’s Upcoming ‘Titanique’

Jim Parsons will grace the Broadway stage once again in the upcoming musical comedy **Titanique**, producers announced today, alongside a talented cast including Deborah Cox, Frankie Grande, and the show’s co-creator, Constantine Rousouli. This Off Broadway hit combines the grandeur of the blockbuster film **Titanic** with the enchanting hits of Céline Dion, beginning its Broadway preview on March 26 at the St. James Theatre. The 16-week limited engagement officially opens on April 12 and runs through July 12.

Parsons, known for his role as Sheldon Cooper in TV’s **The Big Bang Theory**, last seen on Broadway in the 2024 productions of **Our Town** and **Mother Play**, will take on the role of Rose’s mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater (played in the 1997 film by Frances Fisher). Cox (The Wiz, The Bodyguard Musical) will play Unsinkable Molly Brown, while Grande, an original cast member of the 2022 Off Broadway staging, will reprise his role as Victor Garber. The Olivier Award-winning **Titanique** co-creator Rousouli (Wicked, Cruel Intentions: The Musical) returns to the musical as Jack Dawson.

They join the previously announced Marla Mindelle, who plays Céline Dion. **Titanique** co-creator Tye Blue (RuPaul’s Drag Race) will direct, with Ellenore Scott (Ragtime, Funny Girl) choreographing. Additional casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

The synopsis for the Olivier Award-winning **Titanique** (co-written by Blue, Mindelle, and Rousouli): “Eager to discover what truly transpired on that fateful night between Jack and Rose? Let Céline take you on a wild journey through her iconic song catalog, reshaping the course of **Titanic’s** beloved moments and characters.” Songs include Dion hits such as “My Heart Will Go On,” “All By Myself,” and “To Love You More.”

**Titanique** is produced on Broadway by Tony Award winner Eva Price (&Juliet, Liberation, Oklahoma!).
