During a recent podcast, when asked if he would welcome newly single Lori Loughlin into his relationship with his wife, John Stamos delivered a definitive response. "Would you bring her into the fold?" asked co-host Ben Soffer of the "Good Guys" podcast, adding that the most frequently asked question from fans was whether he would leave his wife, Caitlin McHugh, for Loughlin. However, Soffer suggested a more unconventional approach: "Come on, Aunt Becky, bring her in. Bring her into the fold," he said, referring to Loughlin's character from "Full House."

Stamos initially questioned if they meant a "threesome," but they clarified it was more about polyamory or an open marriage. "No," he answered, "I'm not Mormon." The conversation then shifted to the swinger lifestyle, and Stamos expressed his opinion that it "never works"—with the exception of a few couples he knows. He went on to say that he and his wife are supporting Loughlin as she navigates her separation from her husband, Mossimo Giannulli.

Loughlin and Giannulli announced their separation earlier this month after nearly 28 years of marriage. Stamos described Loughlin as an "angel" who always made things better and called Giannulli a "narcissist," adding that he'll never speak to him again. "I think when you have a wife like that, and a family, how do you do that? How do you bust that up?" he asked.

In "Full House," Stamos and Loughlin played husband and wife—Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky—in the popular sitcom that ran from 1987 to 1995. Despite the chemistry on-screen, the 62-year-old actor insisted that people always assumed there was something romantic between them, but he emphasized that they've always just been friends. He admitted that he once referred to Loughlin as the "one who got away" in an interview before meeting McHugh.

Stamos explained that he didn't want to "belittle" his relationships down to the musical "Grease," but compared Loughlin to Sandy before her transformation and his ex-wife Rebecca Romijn to Sandy after. He said at the time he was more attracted to "rebellious" women. Stamos was married to former Victoria's Secret model Rebecca Romijn from 1998 until their divorce in 2005. He admitted that Loughlin was "so sweet" and loved working with her, but she was just too nice for him. He even shared a funny anecdote about thinking they had made out on a ride at Disneyland once, but she denied it to him. "So, I don't know if I made it up in my mind—you know, some kind of fantasy," he laughed.

Stamos married McHugh in 2018 and they have one son, a 7-year-old named Billy, who is Stamos' only child.
