The snapshowed Siwa dressed in a sleek black T-shirt, while Hughes, clad in a black vest, appeared to be carrying tennis equipment.
Later in the day, Hughes reposted an Instagram Story originally shared by his friend James Halas, depicting him, Siwa, and a group of friends inside a cozy pub. Halas captioned the image, "Band back together," as Siwa and Hughes sat side by side, with the "Dance Moms" alum casually resting a hand on Hughes' shoulder.
This sighting transpired merely 24 hours after Siwa's partner, Australian DJ Kath Ebbs, confirmed their breakup at an afterparty following the "Celebrity Big Brother UK" season 24 finale on Friday, April 26. (Siwa placed third during Friday's broadcast, while Hughes secured sixth place.)
On Saturday, April 26, the content creator shared a heartfelt video on Instagram, confessing they were "in a state of shock" and feeling "utterly numb and disoriented" as they addressed the camera. (Ebbs, who identifies as nonbinary, uses they/them, she/her/hers pronouns interchangeably.)
Ebbs recounted spending two weeks "observing certain events unfold" — seemingly referring to Siwa's tenure on "Celebrity Big Brother UK" — and struggling with the lack of clarity from their romantic partner. "I haven't processed enough to call it love bombing or whatever, but it feels like I've experienced a form of that," they continued. "Being told I'm the love of someone's life, being proposed to before 'The Social Experiment,' being cherished behind closed doors, being hurt by what I witnessed but willing to work through it… only to be further, oddly humiliated in a way."
Ebbs revealed they flew to the live show to support their partner and address their feelings later but were unexpectedly "dumped" at the afterparty.
Throughout "CBB UK," Siwa's close friendship with Hughes raised eyebrows among viewers. According to Ebbs, "I was told there were mixed feelings… that they realized in the house that I wasn't the person they wanted to spend the foreseeable future with."
