On Tuesday, March 18, a reliable source confirmed to PEOPLE that Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good have exchanged vows, tying the knot in a celebration of their love. The insider shared, "They genuinely have a deep care and concern for each other."
A second source elaborated, painting a picture of their undying affection: "They are deeply in love. At Paige Hurd and Royce O’Neale’s engagement bash in Studio City last Saturday, their smiles and radiant happiness were unmistakable. She was beaming as she introduced him to everyone as her fiancé. At one point, Meagan was sitting comfortably in his lap, clearly showing their mutual admiration and enchantment."
The couple made their engagement official to PEOPLE at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in November 2024, where the Think Like a Man actress proudly displayed her dazzling diamond engagement ring on the red carpet. Entertainment Tonight was the first to report the news of their wedding.
"We're feeling fantastic," Good exclaimed to PEOPLE about their engagement in November. Majors added, "It's truly a season filled with joy." Continuing, Good said, "It's a time of all the wonderful things in life," to which Majors responded, "Amen."
Sharing more details with E! News, the pair revealed that they chose the gala to announce their engagement because it was the very place where they first met two years ago, quite unexpectedly, "in the unisex bathroom."
In July 2024, Good previously told PEOPLE that she and Majors had an "instantaneous chemistry" from the moment they met. Their romance rumors first sparked in May 2023 when they were spotted enjoying a movie together at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles. Around the same period, Majors was going through a trial for misdemeanor assault and harassment charges (which he has consistently denied). A source close to the couple shared that during this challenging time, Good grew closer to Majors, and their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. She was often seen by his side at various court appearances.
In an intimate conversation with PEOPLE, Good opened up about the early days of her relationship with Majors amid his legal battle. She admitted that he had "actually tried to discourage me from being with him," explaining, "He wanted to shield me from the scrutiny. I told him, ‘My dear, you're dealing with a Black Leo, and besides, I've been in this industry for a long time. The experiences I've had have equipped me with the capacity to love others unconditionally.'"
Majors' trial concluded in December 2023 with a verdict finding him guilty of two counts of misdemeanor assault and harassment. In April of the following year, he was sentenced to complete a one-year "in-person batterers" intervention program in Los Angeles.
Prior to her union with Majors, Good was married to pastor DeVon Franklin, from whom she finalized her divorce in June 2022.
