A renowned Japanese pop icon has categorically rejected allegations that she co-parents a child with tech titan Elon Musk. Ayumi Hamasaki, affectionately known as the "Empress of J-Pop," finally addressed the speculation after another woman disclosed in a The New York Times interview that Musk had fathered a child with a Japanese pop star.
"I've been monitoring the situation closely, and I believe it's imperative for me to speak out now. Elon Musk is not the father of any of my children," Hamasaki posted on her Instagram Story, as reported by Tokyo Weekender. "Putting aside my personal reputation, I envision a future where my kids, as they grow old enough to surf the web, won't stumble upon these rumors and mistake them for reality. Hence, I'm steadfastly refuting them," she continued.
The 46-year-old singer, who boasts an impressive tally of over 50 million albums sold, reigns as Japan's top-selling solo artist. She is also a doting mother to two sons, conceived by two different fathers whose identities remain under wraps.
Meanwhile, Musk has fathered at least 14 children with four different women. His family tree includes five children with his first wife, Justine Wilson. Among his other partners are musician Grimes and Shivon Zilis, an executive at his neural technology venture Neuralink. More recently, right-wing influencer Ashley St. Clair, who shares Musk's 14th acknowledged offspring, revealed the results of a paternity test and spoke to The Times about Musk's possible romantic entanglement with a Japanese pop star, although the musician's name was withheld from the article.
St. Clair recounted that Musk had confided in her about fathering children across the globe, including one with a Japanese pop star. She further disclosed that Musk had expressed his willingness to donate his sperm to anyone desiring a child. "He portrayed it as an act of altruism, believing that these individuals ought to have children," St. Clair shared.
According to text messages obtained by the Wall Street Journal, Musk allegedly claimed during a 2023 meeting that Japanese officials had approached him to serve as a sperm donor for a prominent woman. "They're asking me to be a sperm donor. No strings attached, just the sperm," the text to St. Clair reportedly read. Subsequently, Musk told St. Clair he had fulfilled the request, albeit without naming the recipient.
Musk has been a vocal advocate for population growth, asserting that "civilization risks collapsing" without an increase in birth rates. "I have numerous children, and I urge others to embrace parenthood with openness," Musk has said.
