Julia Fox Clarifies Her Sexuality After Coming Out as Lesbian

Julia Fox has unveiled a fresh gem about her identity, shedding light on her sexual orientation. A year after the "Uncut Gems" star seemingly came out as a lesbian, albeit later clarifying that she was open to a relationship with a woman, she offered an update on how she perceives her sexuality.

"I'm pansexual; I find myself captivated by anyone and anything," Julia revealed in an August 19 interview with Allure. "When it comes to physical attraction, I'm more drawn to the female form. Physically, men just don't do it for me, but I can certainly be enchanted by a man's mind," she elaborated. Adding a personal touch, she said, "I'm all about the vibes."

While the "OMG Fashun" host admitted to having had crushes and intimate encounters with women, she conceded that they never blossomed into full-fledged relationships. However, she emphasized that she no longer feels the compulsion to "entertain men."

"Given the trajectory of my life, I can't fathom how a man would benefit me," continued Julia, who shares a four-year-old son, Valentino, with her ex-husband Peter Artemiev. "I'm intensely focused on being a great mom, a capable provider, and making my dreams a reality."

The 35-year-old fashion mogul, who briefly romanced Kanye "Ye" West in 2022, also reflected on her journey to understanding her sexual orientation. "I believe women struggle more to realize they're queer because we're deeply conditioned to perform for men," Julia explained, noting that her past friendships with women should have served as hints. "In retrospect, I think, 'Oh my God, we were in a relationship.' But acknowledging that to myself was out of the question back then, because my survival depended heavily on men taking care of me," she said.

As for whether the actress, who revealed in May 2024 that she had been celibate for over two years, misses men, Julia was resolute. "No, not in the slightest," she declared.
