Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, and Ayo Edebiri are poised to captivate audiences in Luca Guadagnino's eagerly anticipated psychological thriller, "After the Hunt." On July 13th, Amazon MGM Studios unveiled a tantalizing trailer, showcasing the stellar ensemble cast.
In the preview, the 57-year-old Roberts shines as a college professor who finds herself at a pivotal juncture in both her personal and professional life when a student, played by Ayo Edebiri, accuses one of her colleagues (Garfield) and hints at exposing a harrowing secret from the past.
The trailer features a tense exchange between Roberts, reprising her role as Maggie Price, and Edebiri, 29, as Alma Olsso. "It's the right thing to do, isn't it? To tell someone, considering your history," Alma Olsso queries her professor with a hint of urgency.
During an exclusive interview with Deadline at CinemaCon in April, Garfield reflected on Guadagnino's unique directorial style on set. He revealed, "What was thrilling and unexpected about working with Luca was his laid-back demeanor, his relaxed approach, and his spontaneous creativity. He's totally focused when needed, yet he seems to let the day, the scene, and the moment unfold organically. He's incredibly precise as a filmmaker, yet I found that blend of spontaneity and precision deeply surprising."
Produced by Brian Grazer and Allan Mandelbaum, "After the Hunt" is set to premiere on October 10, 2025, promising a cinematic journey filled with intrigue, suspense, and stellar performances.
