Justin Bieber Admits He's “Extremely Selfish” at Times in Personal Message

Justin Bieber understands that saying sorry is never past its prime. Indeed, the artist behind the hit "Peaches" has taken a reflective journey into his perceived personal flaws, while also sharing how he leans on his spirituality as a beacon during challenging times. In a July 29th post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Justin penned, "Thanking Jesus for his unwavering patience with me this morning. Despite my occasional selfishness and impatience, Jesus always welcomes me with open arms."

Accompanied by snapshots of him beaming as he hiked through lush woods, the 31-year-old imparted an uplifting message to his fans, urging, "Let's make today count, let's embrace the outdoors. Immerse ourselves in nature's embrace."

While this introspection from Justin, who shares an 11-month-old son named Jack Blues with his wife Hailey Bieber, offers a glimpse into his innermost thoughts, it's far from the first time he's bared his insecurities to the world. Earlier this year, he candidly admitted to feeling inadequate amidst his success. "I've always felt unworthy, as if I'm a fraud," Justin confessed in an Instagram Story in March. "When people praise me, it makes me feel deceptive, like, 'If they only knew my critical, selfish thoughts, they wouldn't think this of me.'"

Continuing, he said, "If you ever feel deceptive, welcome to the club. Most days, I feel ill-equipped and unqualified." Justin channeled this vulnerability into his latest album, Swag, released earlier this month, meticulously detailing how being a public figure has shaped his emotional processing.

"This has been a particularly tough journey for me lately," the singer reveals in "Therapy Sessions," one of the album's interludes. "Feeling like I've had to grapple with my struggles publicly, with people constantly inquiring about my well-being, has become quite burdensome."

However, Justin's seventh studio album serves as more than just a platform to discuss his insecurities. It also shines a spotlight on his relationship with Hailey, whom he views as his unwavering pillar of support through thick and thin. "I'm gradually opening up to the notion that you understand me deeply," he croons in the song "Devotion." He then sweetly adds, "I cherish when you hold me close, and I appreciate your constructive批评 too."
