Justin Bieber breaks silence on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs as rap mogul faces sex-trafficking trial

Justin Bieber has emerged unscathed from the shadow cast by allegations involving his former acquaintance, Sean "Diddy" Combs. "While Justin is fortunately not among those who have suffered at the hands of Sean Combs, there are undeniable victims who have genuinely been hurt by him," Bieber's spokesperson declared to Page Six on Thursday, emphasizing that diverting attention from this truth undermines the justice these victims desperately deserve.

Last year, Bieber's fans harbored suspicions that the 31-year-old "Baby" crooner might have been one of the casualties of Combs' alleged misdeeds, prior to the latter's arrest on sex trafficking charges in September 2024. At that juncture, old videos of the duo resurfaced, including a particularly eerie clip where they discussed spending 48 hours together when Bieber was just 15. Another footage showed Combs, now 55, advising the teenage pop phenomenon to keep their hangout a closely guarded secret. "We can't really disclose where we're hanging out or what we're doing, but it's definitely a 15-year-old's dream," Combs said in the video, revealing that Bieber was then under Usher's legal guardianship, whom Combs had similarly taken under his wing when Usher was 16 and working on his debut album in 1994. "I don't have legal guardianship of him [Bieber], but for the next 48 hours, he's with me. We're going to go all out, crazy," he added.

Many anticipated Bieber to speak up when Combs was apprehended, but insiders shared with People that his priorities lay with his son, Jack Blues, and wife, Hailey Bieber. Subsequent to Combs' arrest, he faced accusations of sexual abuse and rape from his ex, Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura, and several others. The trial of the "I'll Be Missing You" singer commenced on May 5, with Combs categorically denying the allegations of sexual misconduct.

"Regardless of the multitude of lawsuits filed, particularly by individuals who shy away from attaching their names to their claims, it remains a fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or engaged in sex trafficking of anyone — whether male or female, adult or minor," his legal representatives previously asserted to Page Six.
