Justin Bieber has publicly taken a former friend to task in a dramatic fashion. On Sunday, the "Peaches" crooner left fans astounded by posting screenshots on Instagram of an alleged text conversation between him and an unnamed acquaintance. The exchanges revealed Bieber terminating a "brief acquaintanceship" and lambasting his contact for their response to his anger.
"I will never stifle my emotions for anyone," Bieber penned in one message. "Conflict is an inevitable part of any relationship. If you can't stomach my anger, then you can't stomach me." He further elaborated, "My anger stems from the pain I've endured. Asking someone who's been traumatized not to feel traumatized is plain cruel."
The unnamed friend replied, expressing discomfort with Bieber's outburst: "I'm not accustomed to someone snapping at me. It's not that I don't acknowledge or feel your anger." Bieber swiftly retorted, "Ouch. This friendship is officially over. I refuse to tolerate a man branding my anger as an outburst." He added that he has other "genuine friends who respect these boundaries."
The conversation took a more heated turn as Bieber wrote, "I suspected you were a jerk, which is why I kept my distance, but I was willing to give you the chance. This confirms that you're exactly the jerk I always thought you were. Please leave me alone. Blocking you now."
Bieber later reposted the texts to his Instagram story, captioning it, "Stop inquiring about my well-being. I don't probe into yours because I understand life's challenges for us all. It's tough. Let's refrain from projecting our insecurities onto one another. Your supposed concern doesn't come across as caring; it's just oppressive weirdness."
The singer revisited the saga on Monday morning, sharing a poignant message on a purple background with white text: "People keep urging me to heal. Don't you think I would have if I could? I'm aware of my flaws. I acknowledge my anger issues. I've spent my entire life striving to be like those who told me I needed fixing. Yet, it only leaves me more exhausted and enraged."
Sunday was not just about severing ties for Bieber, the "Baby" hitmaker also marked his inaugural Father's Day as a dad, alongside his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their son, Jack Blues. Throughout the day, he shared various snapshots of his family, captioning a solo photo, "I'm a dad, and messing with me is not an option." Other photos captured the couple indulging in a romantic staycation and little Jack showcasing his piano prowess.
The Biebers first crossed paths as kids in 2009 and made their romance official in 2016. Two years later, they tied the knot and welcomed their bundle of joy in August 2024.
