To Justin Bieber, love stands as the ultimate priority. On May 7th, the singer behind the hit "Stuck with U" unveiled his musings on love through a series of enigmatic Instagram Stories, pensively noting, "Love isn't something you acquire in direct proportion to what you give." He further elaborated, "It's more about receiving. I still find myself grappling with the need to earn love, and it's utterly draining."
Despite sharing an eight-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, with his wife Hailey Bieber, and acknowledging that "I'm loved unconditionally," Justin admitted to occasionally wrestling with the notion that love is something he deserves. "At times, it left me utterly fatigued, striving to prove my worthiness," the 31-year-old confessed. "It also made me feel entitled at moments." He added thoughtfully, "Love can either make us feel inadequate or entitled. True love, however, is bestowed freely, devoid of any expectations."
This isn't the first occasion when Justin has opened up about his struggles with self-worth. In March, he candidly shared on Instagram Story, "I've always felt unworthy, as if I were living a lie." He continued, "When people tell me I deserve something, I feel deceitful, thinking, 'If they only knew my inner thoughts—how judgmental and selfish I truly am, they wouldn't say such things.' Most days, I feel ill-equipped and unqualified."
However, this does not signal any discord in Justin and Hailey's blissful union. On April 24th, he posted on Instagram Story, "Honestly, if I were you, I'd find it hard not to envy our intense happiness." The Grammy award-winner went on, "It's our life, and it's understandable why some might find it hard to stomach."
Further underscoring his contentment with simply having his beloved and his music, Justin couldn't resist praising Hailey's stunning Met Gala 2025 attire. Sharing snapshots of the 28-year-old in her sleek Saint Laurent blazer dress, he captioned on Instagram on May 6th, "I see it, I like it, and I want it all over again."
