According to NBC News, Bieber wasn't the sole celebrity to lend their voice in solidarity after Brown's release on a $6.7 million bail following a hearing on May 21. Rapper Sexxy Red echoed sentiments in the comments section, proclaiming, "They freed my man," while musician Austin Mahone added a fax machine emoji, a digital shorthand often used in place of the word "facts."
On May 15, Brown found himself in handcuffs at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, accused of hurling a tequila bottle at music producer Abe Diaw amidst a chaotic altercation at a nightclub back in February 19, 2023. Diaw claimed that Brown not only struck him with the bottle but also punched and kicked him relentlessly.
