Justin Bieber's mother is heeding her son's call for prayers. After the "Sorry" singer—who shares a 13-month-old son, Jack Blues, with his wife, Hailey Bieber—was announced as one of the headliners for the 2026 Coachella festival, he visited the Indio, California, venue sporting a shirt emblazoned with the words "Pray for me." And Patti Mallette was more than willing to respond with a fervent prayer.
"We’re cheering you on and praying for you always, Justin," she wrote on Instagram on September 22. "I declare freedom, strength, clarity, and healing over you, Justin. May every chain of fear, confusion, heaviness, and pain be broken in Jesus’ name. Holy Spirit, surround him with TRUTH, LIGHT, and PROTECTION."
The 50-year-old—who shared photos of Justin wearing the shirt—continued to call for healing for her only son. "HEAL EVERY WOUND in his heart, mind, and body, seen and unseen," Patti went on. "Restore what’s been stolen, and cover him in WHOLENESS. Fill him to OVERFLOWING with Your LOVE and COMFORT. Continue to raise him up as a voice for Your Kingdom, unshaken and on fire for You, Lord."
The Canadian author concluded her message by praying that Justin, 31, would be able to block out any external critics as he prepares for the major performance. "Silence every voice that doesn’t come from You," Pattie shared, "and let his life be a bold witness of Your power, love, and healing grace. Say amen if you agree."
Justin's mother's prayer for him comes more than a year after he and Hailey received a public prayer from her father, Stephen Baldwin. "Christians, please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them," Victor Marx said in a video that the Young Riders actor reposted to his Instagram Stories in February 2024, "to have wisdom, protection, and to draw close to the Lord." The founder of All Things Possible Ministry also noted, "There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face."
In the clip reshared by the 59-year-old—who shares Hailey with Kennya Baldwin—Justin could be seen playing the guitar and singing "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever."
While Justin and Hailey are sure to appreciate the kind words from their parents, the couple seems to have reached a point where they are not letting speculation about their relationship affect their life together. "I feel like I’ve fought so hard to try to get people to understand me, or know who I am, or see me for me," Hailey told Vogue in a cover story released in May. "And people just don’t want to sometimes. And there’s nothing you can do about that."
