Katy Perry seems to be living out a real-life teenage fantasy. Nearly three months after she and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared an intimate dinner in Montreal, the duo embarked on a sizzling escapade aboard the "Roar" singer's luxurious yacht.
In snapshots published by The Daily Mail on October 11, Katy—dressed in a sleek black one-piece—was seen wrapping her arms around a shirtless Justin, who was casually clad in jeans. In one captivating photo, the pair shared a passionate kiss, while another moment captured Justin cradling Katy's backside in a tender embrace.
This PDA-packed outing unfolds as both Katy, 40, and Justin, 53, revel in their newfound single status: Katy and Orlando Bloom—proud parents to 5-year-old Daisy Dove Bloom—called off their engagement, while Justin announced his separation from wife Sophie Grégoire in August 2023.
Back in July, Katy and the charismatic politician enjoyed a cozy dinner at Montreal’s Le Violin during Katy’s Lifetimes tour stops in Canada. Footage obtained by TMZ revealed the pair engaged in lively conversation, with security personnel keeping a discreet watch nearby. The restaurant’s chef even stepped out to greet the star-studded pair as they dined.
Just two days after their July 28 meal, Justin made an appearance at Katy’s Montreal tour stop. The politician beamed with delight as he leaned against the arena railing, soaking in the performance, as captured in photos shared on social media at the time.
While neither Justin nor Katy have publicly addressed their seemingly blossoming romance, shortly after their dinner date, Orlando reacted to a satirical article shared by The Onion, which humorously claimed he had gone on a date with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“Just weeks after announcing his split with fiancée Katy Perry, English actor Orlando Bloom was photographed Friday dining with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel,” read the August 1 Instagram post. “’Angela kept Orlando laughing all night—he couldn’t keep his eyes off her!’ said an insider source who spotted the pair sipping wine, slurping oysters, and splitting a decadent piece of chocolate layer cake at a Michelin-starred restaurant.”
In response to the jest, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor—who also shares a 14-year-old son, Flynn, with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr—commented with a series of clapping emojis.
It comes as no surprise that Orlando handled the situation with such lightheartedness. After all, he has made it clear that there are no hard feelings following his and Katy’s decision to part ways after nearly a decade together.
As he told Today’s Craig Melvin in September about their breakup, “I’m so grateful. We’ve got a beautiful daughter. You know when you leave everything on the field like I did in this movie, I feel grateful for all of it.”
And affirming that his and Katy’s relationship remains “great,” Orlando added, “It’s nothing but love.”
