Keke Palmer has finally opened up about how she sensed something was amiss when a stranger unexpectedly proposed to her at SXSW. Less than a month ago, a viral video from the March 13 SXSW Festival panel titled "Baby, This is Keke Palmer Live," shared by TMZ, captured the moment a man from the audience stood on the stage's edge, on one knee, and extended an engagement ring box to the 32-year-old actress.

"That's when I knew something was off because the ring was too good to be true," Keke revealed in the latest episode of the Decisions, Decisions podcast. "It wasn't a Cracker Jack ring," she added, emphasizing that the actor was at SXSW to promote her upcoming film, I Love Boosters. "The ring looked expensive," she continued. "It had that expensive look. That's when I knew something was up."
The Man in the Mirror songstress then explained how she could sense something was wrong by the man's earnest gaze. "It was so sincere that I thought, 'Is this a joke?'" she said. "I could see in his eyes that we've had a romantic connection. There was a lifetime of history in those eyes."
"So then I told him, 'No, sir, I cannot marry you. I cannot marry you, sir,'" she recalled. "And that's when I knew he started looking back at the crowd and saying, 'She wants to say yes. Help her say yes.' And I thought, 'Oh no.'"
For those unaware, Keke's new movie, I Love Boosters, will be released in cinemas on May 22.
