After seven remarkable seasons, the curtain is about to close on "The Kelly Clarkson Show." Kelly Clarkson, in a heartfelt announcement on Monday, February 2, revealed that this season would be her last, and shared her reasons for stepping away from the show in a statement posted on her Instagram account.

"I've been incredibly fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at 'The Kelly Clarkson Show,' both in Los Angeles and New York," the 43-year-old wrote. "Over these seven seasons, there have been so many amazing moments and shows. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talented and inspiring individuals who have shared their time and lives with us, and all the fans who have supported our show. I'm also grateful to NBC for being such a supportive and incredible partner."

Clarkson further explained that the decision would allow her to "prioritize" her children. "This was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting 'The Kelly Clarkson Show,'" she wrote. "Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives."

The conclusion of "The Kelly Clarkson Show" comes months after the tragic death of the host and musician's ex-husband, talent manager Brandon Blackstock, in August due to cancer. Clarkson shares daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remington Alexander, 9, with her late ex-husband.

The show will continue to air through Fall of 2026, with a slate of special guest hosts stepping in. Clarkson added that "This isn't goodbye" and confirmed that she has plans to continue releasing music and appearing as a judge on "The Voice."

"For now, I want to thank all of you so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years," Clarkson concluded in her statement.

Since its premiere in 2019, "The Kelly Clarkson Show" has become a cultural staple, notably featuring the "Kellyoke" segment, where the "American Idol" winner famously performs covers of popular songs. The unique daytime talk show segment has become known as "The Kelly Clarkson Effect," with fans often referring to Clarkson's powerful vocals elevating a song.

During its seven-year run, "The Kelly Clarkson Show" has won 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, including four consecutive wins for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and four consecutive wins for Outstanding Talk Show Host. The show has also earned major wins from the People's Choice Awards, Gracie Awards, Webby Awards, and the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards, as well as numerous nominations from Critics' Choice Awards, MTV Movie & TV Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, and the Writers Guild of America Awards.
