Kim Kardashian is actively managing the professional aspects of her daughter North West's life. In an article published by The U.S. Sun on January 17th, the outlet reported that the founder of Skims, 45, who shares North, 12, with ex-husband Kanye West, filed to trademark the pre-teen's name in 2023 "to sell toys, dolls, play-sets, puzzles, party games, and even puppets."

According to documents obtained by the publication from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the reality TV star's attorney has filed for extensions in the trademark process numerous times. As of September 2025, the case is still pending.
As previously reported by Globe, North has garnered attention for her edgy style over the last few months, including icy blue hair, grillz, a dermal hand piercing, and fake facial piercings and tattoos. Fans have subsequently criticized Kim for allowing North to embrace such a bold look.
Like her famous father, North has also ventured into music. Last week, she shared a snippet of a song she and the rapper, 48, seemingly worked on together called "Piercing on My Hand (Ye Version)" on her Instagram Story. In the track, North raps about skipping school and wanting "more piercings and tats."
In 2025, North made guest appearances on two songs: "Childlike Things" by FKA Twigs and "Lonely Roads" by Kanye and Sean "Diddy" Combs' son, King Combs.
