Kim Kardashian is finding solace in her bond with her 11-year-old daughter North, amidst her divorce from Kanye West. During the latest episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians" aired on Thursday, February 27th, Kim shared some heartwarming news with her sister, Kourtney Kardashian Barker. With a hint of amazement in her voice, Kim said, "Guess what happened? Can you recall if Mason ever did this?" she inquired, referencing Kourtney's 15-year-old son. "North is absolutely head over heels for me now. She even calls me in front of her friends, saying things like, 'Mom, I love you. You're the greatest mom ever. I adore you so much!'"
Kourtney, curious, asked Kim, "Do you think you've undergone some transformation?" To which the SKIMS founder pondered, "Possibly. It was a turbulent year filled with anger towards me."
"Plus, you were going through a divorce," Kourtney pointed out, and Kim nodded in agreement. "I believe it's all because of the divorce. The turnaround is mind-blowing," she remarked.
Kim filed for divorce from West in February 2021, after six years of marriage. Initially, both parties vowed to part ways amicably; however, their relationship has grown increasingly strained over the past two years.
West, now known as Ye, has also garnered significant controversy. In October 2022, he embarked on a series of antisemitic tirades, including the infamous "Death Con 3" tweet, prompting companies like Adidas, Def Jam, Balenciaga, Gap, and others to sever ties with him.
Earlier this year, Ye embarked on yet another hate-filled spree, praising Nazis and Adolf Hitler while insulting the LGBTQ community and individuals with disabilities with derogatory remarks. "After further contemplation, I've come to terms that I'm not a Nazi," he later wrote, backtracking from his widely criticized statements.
Kim has previously opened up about navigating the divorce with her four children – North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, whom she shares with Ye. "Ultimately, what's crucial is that our children feel cherished and heard," she shared in a GQ cover feature. "They're just kids, and going through such things is challenging, regardless of their age. You need to be considerate and only communicate at a level they can comprehend. It's okay to show a vulnerable side. You never descend into negativity," she added.
"Just because I'm adept at managing stress doesn't mean I'm immune to emotions. When I'm sad, I cry and feel it," she emphasized.
