On June 4, Kim posted a photo of her towering piles of notes on her Instagram Story, captioning it with a candid confession: "I can't deal with all these bloody hearsay exceptions!" She added, emphasizing the challenge, "My least favorite subject in law school."
Since 2018, Kim has been steadfastly pursuing a career in law. She embarked on a four-year apprenticeship with a San Francisco law firm, focusing on criminal justice reform work. Prior to passing the "baby bar" exam in 2021, which signifies completion of the first year of study for students not enrolled in accredited law programs, she valiantly faced defeat three times. In a heartfelt Instagram post from December 2021, she wrote, "Know this wasn't easy or handed to me. In California, the path I'm choosing in law requires taking two bar exams. This was just the first one, with a notoriously lower pass rate. Top lawyers told me this was an almost impossible journey, harder than the traditional law school route, but it was my only option. And it feels incredibly good to be here, on my way to achieving my goals."
Drawing inspiration from her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., who was an attorney, Kim expressed how he would have been deeply proud of her accomplishment. She shared, "He would have been so surprised to know that this is my chosen path now, but he would undoubtedly have been my ideal study partner. I've heard stories of him teasing those who didn't pass on their first try, like he did, but he would have been my loudest cheerleader!" She continued, passionately encouraging others, "The bottom line is, never give up, even when you're clinging to a thread of hope. You can do it!
