Kim Kardashian is flaunting her latest high-tech, luxurious toy with immense pride. On Monday, November 18th, the founder of SKIMS uploaded a video to X (formerly known as Twitter), introducing her new Tesla robot. "Meet my new friend, @Tesla," she captioned the video with enthusiasm.
In the clip, the 44-year-old Kardashian playfully asks the Tesla bot, "Can you do this? I love you?" as she forms half of a heart shape with her hand. When the robot mirrors her gesture, completing the heart, she gasps in amazement, adding, "You know how to do that?"
In another snippet shared on her Instagram Stories, the actress from "American Horror Story" teaches the robot how to blow a kiss and even manages to win a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors against it. "You're so cute!" she exclaims joyfully when the Tesla machine blows her a kiss. The robot is also seen mimicking actions like running, waving, and performing the "Raise the Roof" dance, showcasing its impressive range of motion and capabilities.
According to CEO Elon Musk, production of the Tesla Gen 2 humanoid robot, also known as Optimus, will be in full gear by 2026. However, Tesla may start using them internally as early as next year. Once available for purchase, Tesla bots are expected to cost between $20,000 and $30,000.
In subsequent clips on her Instagram Stories, the former "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star showcases a second Tesla robot, this time in a gold hue, along with a gold Tesla Cybercab that has yet to be released to the public. It remains unclear whether these Tesla products are personal purchases or if Kardashian, who already owns a Tesla Cybertruck, was simply given the opportunity to test them out.
Earlier this year, Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, gifted her youngest son, Psalm, a toy Cybertruck on his fifth birthday. "Now you match mommy, huh?" the mother of four said in a video shared to her Instagram Stories on May 9th. Psalm excitedly responded, "I'm gonna drive this to school!" Kardashian laughed and replied, "You can't drive this to school. Get in it, let me see." Later, she captioned the video, "Thank you mom! @krisjenner for the coolest gift for Psalm for his birthday. Baby Cyber truck."
