On Monday, a video uploaded to the YouTube channel of Garosero Research Institute featured a dramatic accusation from Kim Sae-ron's aunt, who leveled serious allegations against the "Queen of Tears" star.
She asserted that Kim Soo Hyun had been in a six-year-long relationship with Kim Sae-ron, a relationship that reportedly commenced when she was just 15 years old. Further, she alleged that the actor abruptly severed ties with her niece following her DUI incident in 2022. The aunt also accused Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, of exacerbating Kim Sae-ron's financial woes, which she claimed contributed to her tragic demise last month.
In a scathing rebuttal, Gold Medalist issued a resolute statement, dismissing the accusations as "utterly groundless and malevolent." The statement read, "The assertions made by Garosero Research Institute on YouTube today concerning Kim Soo Hyun are completely fabricated. They falsely alleged a conspiracy between our company, Kim Soo Hyun, and YouTuber Lee Jin Ho to harass the late Kim Sae Ron. They falsely claimed that Kim Soo Hyun had been in a relationship with Kim Sae Ron since she was 15. They falsely contended that our agency's response to her drunk driving accident was unjust, and that our manager had a cozy relationship with Lee Jin Ho."
"These accusations, among numerous other vile assertions against our company and Kim Soo Hyun, are entirely false, and we cannot turn a blind eye to them. Therefore, we are considering the sternest possible legal actions against Garosero Research Institute for disseminating falsehoods," the statement continued. "We are profoundly heartbroken by the passing of Kim Sae-ron, who was once part of our family. However, the spread of such false information by Garosero Research Institute only perpetuates the cyberbullying that caused her so much anguish in her lifetime."
The agency further lambasted Garosero Research Institute for propagating unfounded rumors and condemned the spurious claims made by Kim Sae-ron's aunt. They also urged fans to "refrain from spreading, amplifying, or reproducing these baseless falsehoods."
