You can be sure you haven't seen the final chapter of Huntr/x. Three months after KPOP Demon Hunters made its explosive debut on Netflix and subsequently took the internet by storm, stars EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami opened up about the potential for a sequel at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.

“Stay tuned,” EJAE quipped with a mischievous grin in an exclusive interview with E! News outside the UBS Arena on September 7. “Who knows what the future holds, right?” Audrey, echoing the sentiment, chimed in, “We’re eagerly waiting for that call, too.” Rei nodded in agreement, confirming that the cast had yet to receive any official word. “As soon as we hear something, you’ll be the first to know,” she assured. Of course, the trio of singers admitted they were still coming to terms with the sudden fame that came with the original film’s meteoric rise. After all, the movie quickly soared to become the most-watched film on Netflix, racking up over 236 million views on the platform. “We’re all still processing this,” Rei added, reflecting on the film’s success. “It’s been overwhelming. Every day brings a new milestone, a new record. We’re obviously incredibly grateful and honored, but it’s just so hard to wrap our heads around.”

Indeed, Audrey confessed that their lives had become significantly “busier” in the wake of the Netflix sensation—which also stars Liza Koshy, Ken Jeong, and Daniel Dae Kim. “It’s been pretty hectic,” she explained. “There’s been a lot less downtime. It’s been pretty insane. I think all of my family members have been asking me to sign autographs for their coworkers and whatnot.” Rei nodded in agreement, adding, “My family back in Korea is going absolutely wild—it’s insane.”

Despite the overwhelming adjustment, the film’s stars were thrilled for fans to catch glimpses of their true personalities through their VMAs looks. Audrey, for her part, even paid homage to her character Mira, donning a puffy jacket that mirrored a memorable scene from the film where her character proves her cool factor by wearing a sleeping bag to the Met Gala. Audrey also accessorized her look with a traditional Korean Binyeo hairpiece, noting that those elements were her favorite from her ensemble. As she put it, among the actresses showing off their real-life styles, “We’re lucky enough to be the voices behind the characters from KPop Demon Hunters.”
