On Wednesday, October 22, amidst the recent controversy that had swirled around her, Kristen Bell made her first red carpet appearance. The 45-year-old actress, accompanied by her Nobody Wants This costars Adam Brody, Justin Lupe, Jackie Tohn, and Timothy Simons, graced the red carpet at the 92nd Street Y in New York City for a screening of the show. The event was followed by a Q&A session hosted by the Happy Sad Confused podcast host Josh Horowitz.

As Bell arrived outside the venue, fans' TikTok videos captured her radiant smile as she signed autographs, chatted, and posed for photos with her adoring fans. "What a sweetheart! Let it be!" one fan wrote in their video.
The event came just hours after Bell skipped a scheduled appearance on the Today show alongside Lupe. As previously reported by Star, Bell had sparked backlash for an off-color joke she posted on Instagram on Saturday, October 18, to wish her husband Dax Shepard a happy 12th wedding anniversary. The post read, "Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: 'I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I'm heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.'"
Commenters quickly pointed out that October was Domestic Violence Awareness Month and called the post "tone-deaf" and "disturbing." Despite the controversy, Bell's appearance at the screening and Q&A session showed her determination to move forward and continue with her work.
