Kristen Stewart has expressed her ardent desire to helm a remake of her iconic film, Twilight. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at Variety's 10 Directors to Watch and Creative Impact Awards on Sunday, the 35-year-old actress revealed her aspiration to helm a revamped version of the vampire romance series, albeit with a "lavish budget."

When asked if she ever dreams of directing a remake of Twilight, Kristen replied, "I would love it! You see, I admire what Catherine [Hardwicke] did, I admire what Chris [Weitz] did, I admire what all the directors did with the movies. They were so authentic and unique in their own quirky ways, like mischievous squirrels, and so present in that era when they were still finding their footing, like before they became a sensation."
She further elaborated, "Imagine if we had a substantial budget and a sea of love and support. I don't know - I would love to reimagine it." Kristen continued, "Yes, of course, I'll do the remake. I'm committed! I'm in it!"
Recently, Kristen made her directorial debut with The Chronology of Water. The film was released in the USA on December 5, 2025.
