According to documents obtained by the outlet, the divorce proceedings are still unfolding. A subsequent hearing in the case is slated for November 26, as per NBC News, which cited the court filings. Lawyers representing both Cabot and her husband did not respond to NBC News' requests for comment. The spotlight first fell on Byron and Cabot when they became the center of a viral sensation after their reaction to being featured on the kiss cam during a Coldplay concert in Foxboro, Massachusetts, on July 16. As soon as they realized they were on camera, Cabot instinctively covered her face while Byron ducked down. Their awkward response prompted Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin, to quip that they might be "having an affair." As the footage continued to circulate online, a media storm ensued, with countless internet users digging up and sharing personal details about both individuals and their families.

Shortly after the incident, Astronomer publicly acknowledged the controversy and announced that it was launching an investigation. On July 19, Byron's resignation from his position as CEO was announced. Just days later, a representative for Astronomer confirmed to PEOPLE that Cabot, who had been serving as the company's chief people officer, had also stepped down.

Since the concert, neither Byron nor Cabot has made any public statements regarding the nature of their relationship. Pete DeJoy, the newly appointed interim CEO of Astronomer, addressed the incident back in July, reflecting on how the company would navigate the aftermath. "The events of the past few days have garnered a level of media attention that few companies—let alone startups in our niche corner of the data and AI industry—ever experience," DeJoy wrote. "The scrutiny has been both unusual and surreal."

"To our team: thank you for your resilience and unwavering commitment to building something extraordinary," he continued. "And to our community and customers: thank you for your trust. We won’t let you down."
