'Kung Fu Panda 4' Gets Peacock Streaming Release Date 1

“Kung Fu Panda 4” made its theatrical debut in March, raking in an impressive $58 million at the box office. Since then, it has grossed a whopping $540 million worldwide, pushing the animated karate franchise's total earnings to over $2 billion. Jack Black reprises his role as the adorable Dragon Warrior and kung fu master, Po, in this fourth installment. The star-studded cast also includes Awkwafina, Viola Davis, Dustin Hoffman, Bryan Cranston, James Hong, Ian McShane, Ke Huy Quan, and many more.

In his review, Variety's chief film critic Owen Gleiberman aptly captured the essence of the franchise, stating, "When the original 'Kung Fu Panda' premiered in 2008, it revolutionized the animation world with its hilarious premise: a lazy, hipster goofball named Po, brought to life by the inimitable Jack Black, transforms into an unlikely kung fu master through intense training and a love for dumplings. Over the course of two sequels and three animated TV series, Po has evolved into a cultural icon, a mascot, and an action figure that inspires the imaginations of children with superhero dreams and couch potato tendencies. However, with all the exposure, the franchise seems to have lost some of its comic punch and the sense of adventure that once jolted Po out of his complacency."

Now, with the upcoming release on Peacock, moviegoers have the opportunity to relive the magic of the Kung Fu Panda franchise all in one place. From the original movie that launched a global phenomenon to the latest installment that continues the adventures of Po and his friends, Peacock promises a panda-monium that's sure to delight fans of all ages.
