Lady Gaga is poised to unveil a fresh tune tailored for the eagerly anticipated second season of "Wednesday." The iconic singer behind hits like "Bloody Mary" will make a spellbinding guest appearance in the eerie series, embodying the enigmatic character of Rosaline Rotwood, the legendary educator of Nevermore Academy whose paths will intertwine with Wednesday's. According to Variety, Gaga will release a song entitled "Dead Dance," with its haunting melody and accompanying visual spectacle slated to drop next month, perfectly timed to coincide with her captivating turn on the show.
Whispers suggest that this chilling anthem was crafted by the same team that orchestrated her acclaimed "Mayhem" album, including co-writers and co-producers Andrew Watt and Cirkut. Adding a touch of the macabre to the tale, last month, Gaga and series director Tim Burton were reportedly spotted on the eerie Island of the Dolls in Xochimilco, south of Mexico City—a place rumored to be haunted, adorned with hundreds of decrepit dolls dangling from trees and structures.
At the lavish premiere of Season 2 of "Wednesday" in London last week, director Tim Burton effused with praise for the versatile artist who had graced his series. "She stands as an artist of unparalleled excellence, and for me, the opportunity to collaborate with such a talented individual is nothing short of a source of boundless inspiration," he exclaimed with enthusiasm to the gathered press. Regrettably, Gaga, who was immersed in the spectacular extravaganza of her "Mayhem Ball" tour, could not personally attend the event.
The second season of "Wednesday" will be released in two installments: the first part premiering on August 6th, 2025, and the second on September 3rd, 2025, both exclusively on Netflix, promising viewers a double dose of dark delight.
