The actress, who portrays Enid Sinclair in the Netflix series "The Addams Family: Wednesday," shared her excitement with PEOPLE at the "Wednesday" Graveyard Gala in New York City on August 28, 2025. "I believe it was amidst the filming of season 2 when the news broke. One day, someone casually mentioned it, and I was like, 'What?!' They responded, 'Oh, you didn't know?' I replied, 'No, I didn't know at all!'" Myers, 23, exclaimed. "I figured someone would have filled me in on such a huge development. It truly came out of the blue."

Myers elaborated on her thrilling anticipation for Gaga's arrival. "I was counting down the days, thinking, 'Just 10 more days until she's here,'" she added, revealing that Gaga's "Born This Way" is her favorite tune.

The "Wednesday" cast revealed Gaga's guest-starring role during Netflix's Tudum 2025 live event in May, an announcement that followed Gaga's "Bloody Mary" from her "Born This Way" album famously featuring in a season 1 scene. Netflix later clarified that Gaga would make her debut in the second batch of episodes, as season 2 was split into two parts, with the first four episodes premiering on August 6 and the second batch arriving on September 3.

In her role, Gaga will showcase her talents at Nevermore Academy, portraying Rosaline Rotwood, a "legendary" teacher who "intersects" with Jenna Ortega's titular character, Wednesday Adams. A trailer for season 2, part 2, featured Gaga's character's eerie voiceover, and now fans can experience all that Rosaline has to offer with the release of the final four episodes.

In an interview with Tudum.com about her season 2 collaboration, Gaga recalled being asked if she had a song in mind for a specific scene. Her involvement soon blossomed into a full-fledged role in the show. "I instantly had 'The Dead Dance' in mind and had started working on it. But once I knew it was for 'Wednesday,' I decided to pour even more effort into it, making it extra special for the show," she said. "For me, the convergence of music, pop culture, and Tim Burton with this cast creates a very unique blend. That's why I'm here."

"After that, they inquired if I wanted to be part of the show, and I eagerly replied, 'Absolutely,'" she added.

Ortega, 22, recently shared with PEOPLE that she was equally surprised by Gaga's role in the series. "I had absolutely no clue," she admitted. "I think I found out maybe the night before, and we didn't have time to rehearse or understand anything. Gaga just reached out and called me. It was incredibly exciting. She's one of the greatest performers, dare I say, of all time."

Ortega further elaborated, "She's such a legend and a powerhouse—an incomparable force. To sit at a dinner table, doing nothing, and just observe her up close—what an incredible gift."

"Wednesday" season 2 is now available for streaming in its entirety on Netflix.
