Lala Kent is grappling with a daunting medical diagnosis. Ever since she first noticed a tiny, pink lesion on her eye, the former "Vanderpump Rules" star has kept her fans informed about her medical odyssey. Her latest update, shared after consulting a specialist, revealed that the spot is precancerous.
"She informed me that it's pre-cancerous and prescribed chemotherapy drops as the initial course of treatment," Lala disclosed in an Instagram Story on May 14, cradling her 8-month-old daughter Sosa in her arms. "I know it sounds terrifying; I couldn't help but shed tears upon hearing that word," she added.
The 34-year-old mother, who also has a 4-year-old daughter named Ocean with her ex-fiancé Randall Emmett, elaborated on her treatment plan as outlined by the specialist. It involves using the eyedrops for one week, followed by a three-week rest period, for a total duration of three months.
"With God's grace, by then, it should eliminate all cancerous cells," Lala continued. "If not, we'll address that challenge when it arises and consider surgical options. So, that's the latest update."
Earlier in the week, the Bravo personality opened up about her health scare, her voice tinged with emotion as she provided a closer view of her eye and the pink spot near her pupil.
"I know I've shown you guys countless times, but I've been fixated on it," Lala said, according to Us Weekly, in her May 13 post. "It all began a month and a half to two months ago as a slight discoloration. I thought, 'This is so odd. What is this?' About a week and a half ago, it started resembling a blister."
She also mentioned visiting a doctor that day, who ordered a biopsy. In a subsequent, heartfelt update, Lala shared her struggles with health anxiety.
"When friends come to me with their own health issues, I assure them, 'It'll be alright. You'll be fine. We'll find a way. We'll cross bridges when we come to them,'" she explained. However, when she found herself in a similar situation, she found it challenging to stay positive. "All you can do is sit and stew, imagining every conceivable worst-case scenario. All the advice you give to others flies out the window," she concluded.
