Lana Del Rey has been meticulously crafting her forthcoming album, undergoing a series of title transformations from Lasso, to The Right Person Will Stay, and now aptly named Stove. This meticulous process speaks volumes about her artistic dedication. The 40-year-old vocal powerhouse unveiled that her country-infused album demanded additional layers of refinement to meet her exacting standards, especially considering its initial intended release.
Postponing its debut, Del Rey made a conscious decision to enrich the LP with six more tracks, as she confided in an interview with W Magazine, published on August 26th, Tuesday. "These tracks were far more autobiographical than anticipated, necessitating extra time. Both encapsulate narrative richness. And I am inexorably pulled towards creating immersive worlds, particularly within the realm of country music," the Summertime Sadness crooner elaborated.
The Grammy-nominated luminary further emphasized that "the album's essence will predominantly resonate with a country charm," a collaboration that she is nurturing alongside Luke Laird and, once again, Jack Antonoff. Although Del Rey has yet to officially declare a concrete release date, she has hinted that fans can anticipate Stove's arrival by the conclusion of January 2026.
To date, avid listeners have been treated to two singles from Stove—Bluebird and Henry, Come On—which was originally slated for a May 21st release this year, setting the stage for an eagerly anticipated musical journey.
