Lana Del Rey has made a triumphant return, unveiling her latest single, “Henry, Come On,” on Friday. This captivating track marks the prelude to her eagerly anticipated 10th studio album, The Right Person Will Stay. In January 2024, Del Rey whetted fans' appetites with a tantalizing snippet of the song on Instagram, tagging country music's renowned songwriter and producer, Luke Laird. Her haunting vocals soared over a haunting string arrangement as she crooned, “I mean Henry, come on / Do you think I’d really choose it?” before issuing a poignant warning, “Last call, hey, y’all / Hang his hat up on the wall / Tell him that his cowgirl is gone / Come on and giddyup.”

In a heartfelt Instagram post from November, Del Rey officially announced her 10th album, The Right Person Will Stay, extending her gratitude to Laird, Jack Antonoff, Zachary Dawes, and Drew Erickson for their “breathtaking contributions” to the 13-track LP. This revelation followed her earlier declaration in 2024 that her milestone 10th record would be a country music project titled Lasso. However, it seems that those plans have since undergone a transformation, as The Right Person Will Stay still embraces country influences, aligning perfectly with her headlining gig at Stagecoach 2025 on April 25.

Following her mesmerizing Coachella headline performance last year, Del Rey teased her upcoming appearance at the storied music festival on Instagram, promising an exclusive country-themed set that would include several new tracks, presumably from The Right Person Will Stay. In the caption of her post, she reflected, “These past nine months have been an exhilarating whirlwind, and I am deeply grateful that by the 25th, it will have been a full year since I graced the Coachella stage. A massive thank you to the wonderful folks at the Stagecoach festival for allowing me to share my new songs with you this year.”

Scheduled for release on May 21, The Right Person Will Stay serves as a stunning sequel to Del Rey’s 2023 album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd., which garnered the alternative pop icon five nominations at the prestigious 66th Grammy Awards, including coveted nods in the Song of the Year and Album of the Year categories.
