Liam Neeson embodied the essence of a gentleman, even amidst one of the darkest chapters of his life. In a heartfelt letter dated May 4, 2009, penned nearly two months after the tragic passing of his beloved wife, Natasha Richardson, the iconic actor from the "Taken" franchise expressed his profound gratitude to Sandy Linter, the late actress's makeup artist, for lending a helping hand during the somber funeral arrangements. Linter shared this poignant note on Instagram on August 2.

"Dear Sandy," Neeson's words began, "My family and I are immensely appreciative of all that you did for our Natasha. Your gesture deeply moved us, and we fully comprehend the immense personal difficulty it must have entailed for you." Typed on Neeson's letterhead and bearing his signature, the message continued, "It meant the world to us all."

Linter, who had collaborated with Richardson numerous times before her untimely demise at the age of 45, recalled being entrusted with the task of enhancing the deceased actress's beauty even in her final resting state. "She looked like a queen," Linter reminisced in the caption accompanying her post. Months later, she received a call from Neeson, who invited her to his apartment to inquire about her well-being. Upon her assurance that she was coping, he handed her a heartfelt note, saying, "I know what I'll do."

Lauding Neeson as "such a good guy," Linter emphasized that the considerate letter was a testament to his elegance and compassion. She also expressed her joy for him, seemingly hinting at rumors of a romantic entanglement between Neeson and his "The Naked Gun" co-star, Pamela Anderson. "If you appreciate on-screen chemistry, it's all there!" she added.

Neeson and Richardson were married for 15 years before she passed away from a brain hemorrhage sustained in a skiing accident. Since then, the "Love Actually" star has remained unmarried, grappling with grief that he described to Esquire in 2011 as "hitting you in the middle of the night—well, it hits me in the middle of the night. I'm out walking, feeling content, and suddenly, boom. It's like a punch in the chest."

Despite the 73-year-old actor telling People magazine last year that he was "past" dating, speculation about a romance between him and Anderson, 53, gained traction when they appeared cozy while promoting their comedy together. Neither Neeson nor the former Playboy model has officially clarified the nature of their relationship. When recently quizzed about whether they were "an item" during a joint appearance on "Today," Anderson playfully replied, "I don't understand the question."
