Lil Nas X has encountered a harrowing health ordeal. On the morning of August 21, around 5:50 a.m., Los Angeles police responded to an alarming report of a "naked individual strolling down Ventura Boulevard." Upon arrival, they identified the nude figure as none other than the "Old Town Road" hitmaker himself, as confirmed by the LAPD to E! News.

"Upon their arrival, the individual charged at the officers and was promptly apprehended," police stated in an official release. "He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for suspected overdose and was also arrested for assaulting a police officer."

Stunning photos obtained by TMZ captured Lil Nas X, clad only in white underwear and cowboy boots, standing in the middle of the road. At one bizarre moment during the incident, he perched an orange traffic cone atop his head.

E! News reached out to Lil Nas X's representative for comment, but as of yet, there has been no response.

This recent hospitalization marks a challenging chapter for the 26-year-old artist, who just four months ago revealed he was battling partial facial paralysis. Despite having to seek medical attention, he remained resilient and upbeat.

"When I smile, this is me doing a full smile," Lil Nas shared in an April 14 Instagram video, as the left side of his face lifted into a grin. Amid laughter, he added, "What the heck? I can't even laugh properly. Oh my god."

However, the Grammy Award winner soon assured his fans that he would be alright in no time. "Guys, I'm okay!" he posted in a subsequent Instagram Story. "Stop feeling sorry for me! Dance your ass off for me instead!"

True to his word, Lil Nas (born Montero Lamar Hill) kept his followers abreast of his health journey. "I've been chewing a lot to strengthen this muscle," he noted in an April 15 Instagram Story, pointing to the right side of his face. "It's getting much better."

"My eye still needs to catch up, but I can give a genuine smile now," he added, "so that's good."

More recently, after taking a brief hiatus from his music, Lil Nas opened up about his upcoming work and the newfound significance of his career.

"I see it this way: last time, I brought the world to me, but this time, I'm bringing myself to the world," he confided to Paper Magazine in April. "Now, I'm physically, emotionally, and in every way possible, striving to engage with the world. I cherish the simplest things now: strolling in parks, visiting grocery stores – those little, ordinary things that I absolutely adore. They've brought me immense peace."

"As humans, we always strive for success," added Lil Nas, whose 2018 single "Old Town Road" catapulted him into the limelight. "I want to venture into and remain committed to this phase of my life where I don't force everything to be the biggest thing in the world, because at some point, it starts taking the joy out of it. I've finally rediscovered that joy. I've been creating so much music and stepping further out of my comfort zone."
