This revelation, shared in an interview with Cosmopolitan alongside her co-stars from "Forbidden Fruits," caused her peers to gasp in shock. Victoria Pedretti, in particular, exclaimed, "Oh my God! What is his name?" to which Reinhart replied that she would share the name later. Despite Alexandra Shipp's encouragement to reveal the director's identity, Reinhart chose to remain silent, also declining to disclose the project where this alleged comment was made. Lola Tung added, "Time for a hex," in response to the troubling incident.
Reinhart has been vocal about her struggles with body dysmorphia and an eating disorder. In an interview with Self magazine last year, she revealed that during the filming of the sixth season of CW's "Riverdale," she experienced various health issues and weight gain, which ultimately led to an eating disorder. She stated, "I really don't like looking at season six imagery or pictures because I know that 99 percent of my thoughts were about my body. I was completely disassociated through that entire day or scene because my inner dialogue was all about... 'Your body's changing.'"
In a 2022 social media post, Reinhart opened up about how challenging it can be to view one's own body with love rather than criticism, something she was "still learning" at the time.
