Lily Collins is set to embody the timeless elegance of Audrey Hepburn in a captivating new movie project, charting the creation of the iconic romantic comedy, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Alena Smith, the mastermind behind the Apple series Dickinson, will pen the screenplay, drawing inspiration from Sam Wasson’s critically acclaimed book, Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman.

Wasson’s New York Times bestseller brings to life a vivid cast of characters, including Breakfast at Tiffany’s writer Truman Capote, costumer Edith Head, director Blake Edwards, and of course, the inimitable Hepburn. The narrative follows the movie from pre-production to on-set challenges and its eventual release, which became a milestone in film, fashion, and culture at large.
Imagine Entertainment and Collins’ production company, Case Study Films, are at the helm of this project, developing it alongside producer Scott LaStaiti (The Accountant 2, Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare). Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Justin Wilkes will produce for Imagine, while Charlie McDowell and Alex Orlovsky will produce for Case Study Films alongside LaStaiti. Imagine’s Marc Gilbar will serve as an executive producer alongside Sam Wasson and Brandon Millan for Felix Farmer Productions and Michael Shamberg. Joyce Choi oversees development for Imagine.
Represented by CAA, LBI Entertainment, and Sloane Offer, Collins is best known for her captivating role in Netflix’s popular series Emily in Paris. This new venture promises to be a mesmerizing tribute to the life and legacy of Audrey Hepburn through the lens of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
