Lindsay Lohan, despite her storied Hollywood journey, is opening up about the genuine reason she feels apprehensive in Los Angeles. As she prepares for her role in the upcoming sequel to "Freaky Friday," the actress reveals that a move back to Hollywood's glitterati isn't in her immediate future. The doting mother confesses to feeling anxious about compromising her privacy whenever she considers taking her young child to the park.
She shares that navigating the paparazzi-infested streets of Los Angeles is far more daunting than in bustling New York City, where individuals seem perpetually engrossed in their own affairs. In an intimate conversation with Elle magazine, the "Parent Trap" icon elaborates on her preference for spending quality time with her husband, Bader, and their son in Dubai.
"It's a challenge in L.A.," she admits. "Even when I take my son to the park, I'm tense, constantly wondering, 'Are there cameras nearby?'" Comparing the two prominent U.S. cities, she continues, "In New York, there's no such anxiety. No one disturbs us. Everyone is engrossed in their own world. New York possesses a unique vibe. I'd much rather enjoy some downtime there than in L.A."
Lohan further notes that her professional commitments in Los Angeles often leave her with little opportunity for meaningful family time. "Ironically, in Dubai, I have all of that," she tells Chloe. "I enjoy privacy and space. I don't have to worry. I feel secure. I yearn to spend more time there."
For those unaware, the actress welcomed her son, Luai, in July 2023.
