Livvy Dunne Trolls Boyfriend Paul Skenes Over Dramatic Tumble During Game

Paule Skenes embodies many facets – a phenomenal pitcher, a dashing athlete with a once-impressive mustache, and, admittedly, not quite the gymnast. His girlfriend, the LSU star Livvy Dunne, couldn't resist teasing him about the latter. Nevertheless, the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher gave gymnastics an unexpected, albeit accidental, shot during Monday night's home game against the Washington Nationals.

The comedic sequence unfolded as Skenes attempted a tag play at third base. His effort, however, culminated in a blooper when the 22-year-old ace stumbled after the failed tag. Swiftly, he rose to his feet, but Livvy couldn't resist adding her own unique twist to the moment. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model took to her Instagram Story, playfully judging his tumble with a score of "9.8," deducting just a "hint on the landing."

Yet, all ended well for Skenes as he ultimately secured his second win of the season, allowing just one earned run on three hits while striking out six in six innings of work.

As for Livvy, she's striving to rebound from a recent knee injury. The LSU star suffered an avulsion fracture in her kneecap on March 6 and harbors hopes of returning just in time for LSU's gymnastics team's NCAA Championship competition this week. If not, it will mark the close of her career. "I'll be bidding gymnastics adieu, which feels surreal to say," she recently told People. "I'll embrace newfound freedom. I've been a competitive gymnast since age three, so this will be a significant change."
