Lola Young is officially back in the spotlight! The "Messy" singer marked her grand return to the stage during the 2026 Grammy Awards on February 1st, four months after stepping away from the public eye following an on-stage medical emergency. Inside the vibrant Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Lola joined fellow Best New Artist nominees Olivia Dean, Sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, Addison Rae, The Marias, and KATSEYE for a stunning montage performance. (Olivia ultimately took home the coveted prize.)

For her first Grammys appearance, Lola donned a striking green, two-piece set from Vivienne Westwood before transforming into a radiant burgundy, off-shoulder dress for her performance. The 25-year-old's last major public performance was on September 27th at the All Things Go Music Festival at Forrest Hills Stadium in Queens, N.Y., where her concert took a terrifying turn when she fainted mid-song "Conceited" and had to be carried off stage by her crew.

Days later, Lola announced that she would be taking an indefinite hiatus from performing, canceling the rest of her performances for the foreseeable future to "work on myself and come back stronger."

"I'm going away for a while," she wrote in an emotional post on Instagram on September 30th. "It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future."

In December, Lola ended the year with a note of optimism, offering an update on her health and sharing her plans for returning to the stage. "I just wanted to express gratitude to everyone who has given me time and space to gather myself and get my head in a better place," she wrote on an Instagram post on December 20th. "I've felt so much love and support from you all, and it has helped more than you will ever know."

"I am hoping to gradually get back to performing and continuing pursuing my dreams," she added. "Happy Holidays to you all, and can’t wait to see you in 2026. Life is a journey, nothing is perfect, but today I am doing well. All my love always."
