Lola Young revealed that she's doing just fine after she dramatically collapsed on stage at the All Things Go Music Festival this past Saturday. The British singer-songwriter was whisked away from the spotlight following a medical incident that struck while she was belting out her 2024 hit, “Conceited.”
“To anyone who witnessed my set at All Things Go today, I’m doing okay now,” Young posted on her Instagram Story on Saturday, offering a heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of support. Fellow performer Remi Wolf, who took the stage shortly after the incident, shared her own reaction, exclaiming, “That was really fucking scary.” She reassured the audience, “My friend Lola is backstage, and she’s okay.”
Prior to her onstage collapse, Young had already hinted at a tough week, sharing in a TikTok video from the festival, “Before I dive into this next song, I want to confess that I’ve had a tricky couple of days. Life can sometimes make you feel like you can’t go on. But you know what? I woke up today and decided to show up anyway … Life throws lemons, and sometimes you just gotta fucking make lemonade.”
On Friday night, Young's scheduled performance in New Jersey was abruptly canceled by her team, citing “a sensitive matter,” according to Billboard.
The Hollywood Reporter reached out to Young’s representatives for further comment but had not received a response by the time of publication.
Recently, Young released her third studio album, I’m Only F**king Myself, last Friday. She first shot to fame with her viral sensation “Messy” and shared insights on her newfound celebrity in an interview with THR. When asked in April about what she’s learned amidst “the whirlwind of the last few months” in her career, Young reflected, “The most striking realization I’ve had is reaffirming that, no matter how big things get for me, I remain fundamentally the same person, and nothing within truly changes.”
