Bryan Arenales is setting the narrative straight. The season seven star of Love Island USA, who faced accusations of cheating on Amaya Espinal after they had won the coveted $100,000 prize, addressed the rumors swirling around his supposed infidelity during the reunion episode that premiered on Peacock on August 25.
A video emerged, seemingly depicting Bryan in a partying scenario with other women. The 28-year-old, however, refuted any claims of disloyalty towards Amaya. "They're just hurling accusations my way," he said. "Regarding the cheating video, I was actually paid to be there. Back in the day, I used to bartend. I made a judgment error, and we've talked it through."
When cohost Andy Cohen inquired specifically about the nature of his judgment error, Bryan clarified, "I was pouring shots and giving the crowd drinks and things like that."
Amaya stood by his side during the reunion. "We definitely addressed it," she affirmed. "I'm not the type of woman who would stay with someone who doesn't respect me. So, if I'm still with him, it's because our relationship is healthy and wonderful."
The registered nurse further added, "We prioritize our relationship and have a laser focus on it. I'm very confident in our bond, and I sense you feel the same way."
Andy also questioned fellow finalist Chris Seeley, who was present during Bryan's alleged partying incident, about what actually transpired that night. "I didn't see anything," Chris replied. "Nothing happened."
Nonetheless, the basketball player offered Bryan support amidst the rumors. "I just told him, 'Stay true to yourself, bro. Don't let it bother you. The internet is its own universe,'" Chris explained. "We can't control what people post or say. As long as we know the truth, everything is fine."
Initially, Bryan had given a cryptic response to the cheating allegations by posting a TikTok video on July 22 of Amaya jumping into his arms, captioned, "When everyone thinks you're over, meanwhile, this is us." However, they have since sparked breakup rumors due to allegations of having unfollowed each other on social media.
