Sadly, their love story didn't quite live up to its name. Love Island USA's Huda Mustafa and Too Hot To Handle's Louis Russell have decided to part ways after nearly nine months of a romantic relationship.
"We wanted to share that after taking time to reflect on what's best for both of us," the former couple said in a joint statement to E! News on May 21. "We have mutually decided to take a break for the time being."

Huda, who is a mother to Arleigh, 5, from her previous relationship with Noah Sheline, will be "devoting her time and energy to being the best mother, her music career, and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead." Meanwhile, Louis, a father to Luka-Kai, 12 months old with ex-partner Nicole Olivera, is currently "focused on being the best father he can be and pursuing his future endeavors."
Although they have gone their separate ways romantically, the duo noted that they remain friends. "We continue to have the utmost respect and love for one another," their statement continued. "During this time, we kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this next chapter of our lives."
Huda and Louis were first linked in July 2025, shortly after she left the Love Island USA villa. However, the two recently faced some family issues, with Louis' ex filing a temporary restraining order in March against Huda, accusing her of making "terrifying and extremely mentally unstable threats" to her and Luka-Kai, according to People.
At the time, the Love Island USA star made a statement on her Instagram Story, "I'm aware of what's being said and it's not true. I'm handling everything the right way by letting legal take care of it. I appreciate everyone who continues to support me."
And the Perfect Match contestant, who was involved in a custody battle with Nicole before dropping the case on April 28, previously said in an Instagram Story on March 18, per People, "All I've ever wanted is to be a good dad. That's who I am, and that's who I'll always be."
Despite this chapter coming to an end, Huda is already looking forward to her next endeavor. She recently teased the release of her first song, which is scheduled to come out on May 22. In an Instagram post shared on May 19, she wrote in the caption, "It's time..."
