Machine Gun Kelly, aka Colson Baker, took to the stage during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" on Sunday, August 10th, to clarify rumors swirling around his potential romance with Sydney Sweeney. The 35-year-old musician found himself in the hot seat when Cohen, the show's host, read aloud a fan-submitted inquiry inquiring whether he and the 27-year-old "Euphoria" star were "more than just friends."

Facing the camera head-on, MGK shook his head with a playful grin and quipped, "Kyle P, shut up, dude," eliciting robust laughter from Cohen and the audience. The rumors had first gained traction in May, after Page Six published photos capturing the duo in an embrace during the grand opening of a Las Vegas club. Around the same period, MGK posted an Instagram carousel showcasing a snapshot of him and Sweeney beaming at the camera while flashing peace signs, accompanied by Patrick Schwarzenegger and celebrity hairstylist Glen Oropeza. Sweeney subsequently shared her own Instagram Story from the event, posing with Schwarzenegger and MGK.

Currently, both stars find themselves single. MGK's split from Megan Fox was officially confirmed by Us Weekly in December 2024, and he shares custody of two daughters: four-month-old Saga with Fox, and 16-year-old Casie with his ex, Emma Cannon. Sweeney, on the other hand, called off her engagement to Jonathan Davino in May.

The two have known each other for quite some time, with Sweeney featuring in MGK's directorial debut, "Downfalls High," in 2021. They also collaborated on the 2019 film "Big Time Adolescence," alongside MGK's long-time friend Pete Davidson. Despite the persistent rumors, it appears their bond remains steadfastly within the realm of platonic friendship.
