Machine Gun Kelly (aka Colson Baker) is embracing Pete Davidson with warm arms into the exclusive circle of celebrity dadhood. Having already fathered a 15-year-old daughter, Casie, with his ex-partner Emma Cannon, MGK expanded his family this year when he welcomed his second child, Saga Blade, a three-month-old bundle of joy, with ex-love Megan Fox in March. Upon learning that his long-time buddy was soon to become a dad too, his excitement knew no bounds.
On July 23, MGK posted an Instagram snapshot, beaming with joy as he displayed a FaceTime call featuring the comedian on his screen. Earlier, on July 16, when Pete's girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, shared her pregnancy news on Instagram, MGK was prompt with his comment, eagerly anticipating the upcoming playdates: "These playdates bout to hittttt!"
Their friendship, which blossomed on the set of MTV's Wild ’N Out in 2017, deepened further during the filming of the 2019 Motley Crüe biopic, The Dirt, in New Orleans. In an April interview with People, Pete described MGK as his "best friend."
The 35-year-old rapper has often spoken fondly of their unbreakable bond, tracing its origins back to "a night in New Orleans together." He reminisced during a 2020 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, "He was the only other person who smoked weed, so we bonded over that." However, their camaraderie transcended mere smoking sessions.
"I don't have any siblings," MGK revealed. "Seeing someone like Pete is like having a little brother. He's my best friend too. It's like fulfilling a dream of having a sibling dynamic, which I craved as an only child. Pete fills that void for me."
