The beloved Barbie actress recently welcomed her first bundle of joy with her husband, Tom Ackerley, as multiple sources confirmed on November 2. According to People magazine, the couple celebrated the arrival of a baby boy.
This joyous occasion marks three months after Margot first publicly revealed her pregnancy during a vacation to the picturesque Lake Como in Italy with Tom in July. Just a short week later, the couple couldn't resist showing some public displays of affection (PDA) at Wimbledon, where Margot, donning a charming white polka dot dress and a matching cape that accentuated her burgeoning bump, watched the tennis matches intently with Tom. Between the intense rallies, they paused to share a tender kiss.
Wimbledon fashion isn't the only area where Margot and Tom, both now 34, excel as a pair. Margot recently shared insights into what makes their relationship a perfect match at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. "I am so lucky," she told E! News, elaborating on her marriage to her "normie" husband Tom. "He loves being behind the camera and isn't bothered by any of the fame and glamour."
Their love story dates back to 2013 when they first met on the set of Suite Française. Tom was working as the third assistant director, while Margot had a supporting role. At that time, Margot was a self-declared "ultimate single gal," as she revealed in a 2016 Vogue interview. "The idea of relationships made me want to vomit," she said. "And then this crept up on me."
In truth, the couple had been close friends for a long time before romance blossomed. "We were friends for so long," Margot continued. "I was always in love with him, but I thought, 'Oh, he would never love me back. Don't make it awkward, Margot. Don't be foolish and tell him how you feel.' "If I look into my future 30 years from now, I want to see a big Christmas dinner surrounded by lots of kids," she told Porter in a 2018 interview. "But definitely not right now. That's 100 percent certain."
